Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Tachy (the "Service"), operated by Jungwan Gu (the "Operator").
2. The Service
Tachy is a messenger that attaches the heart rate read from your Apple Watch to each message. It includes:
- Messages and photos with heart rate attached
- Measuring together and viewing records
- Anniversaries
- Paid items (Poker Face and Tell)
3. Eligibility
- An iCloud account is required. There is no separate sign-up.
- Heart rate features require an Apple Watch. You can still chat without one.
- You must be at least 14 years old.
4. Paid items
- Items are consumable. They are used up when used. There is no subscription.
- Poker Face — for 4 hours, sends a value you choose instead of your real heart rate. Not available while measuring together.
- Tell — checks once whether your partner used Poker Face. Your partner is not notified.
- Payments and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store. The Operator never holds your card details.
- Refunds follow Apple's policy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Items already used may not be refundable.
5. Heart rate is not medical information
The heart rate shown in Tachy is not medical information. It is the value measured by Apple Watch, passed along as is, and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment or prevention. A "stays high" notice only reports what the app observed; it is not a medical judgment. If you have health concerns, talk to a medical professional.
6. Your responsibilities
- Don't collect or disclose anyone's location, photos or messages without their consent.
- Don't use the Service to harass or threaten anyone.
- Don't send content that breaks the law or infringes others' rights.
- Don't reverse engineer or interfere with the Service.
7. Reporting and blocking
You can report or block someone in the app. A report includes your recent messages and heart rate values. The other person is not notified.
8. Disconnecting
- Disconnecting a couple starts a 7-day grace period, during which you can undo it.
- After that, shared records are cleared and each person keeps only what they sent.
- Removing a friend takes effect immediately.
9. Changes to the Service
We may improve or discontinue features. If we shut down the Service entirely, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the app or on this site, along with what happens to unused paid items.
10. Limitation of liability
- We are not responsible for losses caused by things outside our control, such as Apple Watch measurement error, iCloud outages or network problems.
- Disputes arising from what you send to another person are between you and that person.
- This applies to the extent permitted by law and does not cover the Operator's intent or gross negligence.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
12. Changes to these terms
Changes are posted here with a new date. Changes that are unfavorable to you are announced 30 days before they take effect.
